Surfventure Peniche is run by Carlo Engelke and with setting up this Surfcamp he full filled his lifelong dream of living close to the ocean. Carlo is from Germany and graduated at the University of Hanover as Master of Education (Sports Science and Science of Education). He is DWV surf coach, Red Cross first-aid certified, lifeguard and with great know-how of local beaches and surf spots in Peniche. He provides clients with exceptional knowledge of didactical sports science, surfing techniques and speaks besides his mother tongue english and portuguese. Before settling in Peniche Portugal, he travelled the globe, studied, worked and surfed in France, Spain, England, Morocco, Canary Islands, Azores, Taiwan, and Brazil. After college graduation in 2009 Carlo moved to Portugal to further his education and continue to work as a surf instructor.
